ODSI is under the Ministry to promote & implement projects for the rural industry

sector in the Southern Province.Within last few years the rural industry sector has

developed rapidly in the Southern Province by initiating creaive methords of

production ane marketting

Vision

Promote initiatives and solutions for umemployment and address to reduce the poverty

amongst workers from weaving sector and small industry sector;which has been given

strategic results to the economic development of the Southern Province and

human resource development.

 Activities

• Generate job opportunities and contribute to the National Economy.
• Create job opportunities in rural areas in order to improve the livelihood of unemployed rural women.
• Promote the Weaving industry.
• Promote the Small industries
• Introduce new technologies for the weaving industry sector & small industry sector.
• Expand the market linkages for the weaving industry sectors &  small industry sector -through marketing promotions.
